This week we speak with Beijing-based radio correspondent and filmmaker Jocelyn Ford about her first feature-length documentary, the technically lo-fi but high impact film is called Nowhere to Call Home: A Tibetan in Beijing. Without originally intending to Jocelyn’s film is sparking debate about Tibetan issue’s within the local Chinese as well as an international audience. Surprised at the traction the film and debate caught in the Chinese domestic audience, especially among the younger generation, Jocelyn is now doing a number of educational programs around the film.
